Pitch to Win

As renowned Chinese philosopher Lao Tze once said:

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step."

With a phased journey approach, one can easily start to envision the various action steps from the perpective of "immediate implementability": the very first step, the next step, & all the way through all subsequent steps within the next 90 days... next 12 months... next 1 to 3 years or so...

As part of that approach, much like bridges have been used for centuries to connect and facilitate free transfer, Shetu – named after the Bengali word for “Bridge” – is dedicated to building a tech startup ecosystem in Bangladesh and bridging the gap between talent and its prospective scope (thereby bringing Silicon Valley knowledge to Bangladesh). They are the bootcamp that will help you to refine your business idea and launch your Tech Startup.

But Why?

Because, in some places in the world, an entire generation of brilliant minds don’t have the opportunities or partnerships they need. In other places, there are more opportunities than qualified people.

And Shetu, is tackling this challenge for Bangladesh.

"pitch2win" contestant Md. Mahabuber Rahaman pitched his business idea "InfoBangla" and won the competition. In this picture judges (no particular order): Samira Zuberi Himika, Nash Islam, Iraj Islam, Riyad Husain, Tanveer Ali & Samad Miraly presenting the Tk-50,000 check to Md. Mahabuber Rahaman.

Here is what Mahabuber Rahaman winner of the first ever pitch2win competition wrote:

Hello Everyone,

It was a nice experience to attend "Pitch 2 Win" contest. Since winning the competition, I am feeling that my life has been changed in 2 minutes. I was always running for this kind of break through for my life and finally I got one.

The most amusing part is that its not even a week and I am on business already. Please everyone pray for me so that I can bring the services of "info@Bangla" to you successfully.

I got those desired opportunities and the life changing break through because "SHETU" arranged that wonderful initiative "Pitch 2 Win". Thank you to Sajid Islam, founder and CEO of SHETU and also to SHETU team members for arranging such a wonderful initiative.

info@Bangla Mahabuber, infobangla is a great idea.
